Commissioned by the lovely Arlene Rieneke (check out her Art!), with the simple theme of “fairy tale” and provided inspiration of Sigur Ros’s Staralfur, this piece is the favoured one of three, all also influenced by my recent reading at the time of Celtic Myths. Great fun to do, and still have the other two pieces waiting for a good home~.
Because one day, I will remember to update this TumblR on a regular basis, especially if I start making a post on it using some of my Art whenever I pass by. ;)

One must start somewhere, and so for my first proper post on this tumblr, I will be posting samples of my Drawing Skills as used during my evening job.
Like many people these days, I’ve found myself having to take on extra part-time jobs to make ends meet. Working in a betting shop has given me the opportunity to draw relevant imagery on their blackboard alongside their daily promotions. I have done three different picture sets during the first half of the year, in the order that follows:
1) Horse - for the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National.
2) Betting Machines - promoting the arrival of new machines in the shop.
3) Horse - for the Epsom Derby and the Royal Ascot.
It is a challenge drawing on the big board: is a big format, in an awkward position and my only tool is a thick white pen. It is however also good fun!
